Private banking locally

Our current status quo analysis shows: things are moving in private banking. More and more savings banks and cooperative banks are recognizing the attractiveness of this business segment and are positioning themselves with increasing success in the affluent market. But: there are still challenges that quickly become apparent at individual bank level.

For this study, we surveyed savings banks and larger cooperative banks  regarding the status quo of business with affluent customers. It is worth taking a closer look at the results of this analysis.

One thing is obvious: in order to achieve a fair share in the market, further efforts are required, especially with regard to the holistic support of affluent customers – and the necessary interfaces in the institutions as well as the qualification of customer advisors. But first of all, regional banks need to ramp up the collection of regional data, because market transparency is the basis for everything that follows.

The effort is worth it: savings banks and cooperative banks that successfully implement their growth plans for private banking can look forward to further gains in market share – with extremely promising earnings potential.
