A solution looking for the problem?

At present, there is broad political and societal debate surrounding the introduction of the digital euro. As discussions in the European Parliament and with industry stakeholders remain heated and tense, we expect a continuation of the preparation phase over the next two years. While we expect the digital euro to go live no earlier than 2026, we believe that it has a realistic and more-likely-thannot chance of being launched.
