Dr. Thiesmeyer will join Prof. Dr. Stefan Kirmße, one of zeb’s founding partners, in running the strategy and management consultancy. This decision was made in response to the company’s strong growth and increasing internationalization over the past few years as well as the expansion of operations across the entire market of financial intermediaries. zeb now employs roughly 1,000 staff and is currently represented in 18 countries, in several of which as the market leader.

Markus Thiesmeyer was born in Bad Oeynhausen in 1968. After finishing high school, he completed a banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank AG in Bielefeld and Toronto, then went on to study Business Administration in Münster and gained his PhD in Finance in 2002. Shortly after joing zeb, he assumed responsibility within the core segment of regional banks and association structures. In 1998, he opened the zeb office in Berlin. In 2002, Markus Thiesmeyer was appointed Partner at the age of just 34; later on he became Senior Partner. Since 2015, he has been a member of the zeb Management Team.
