Sanctions are central and need clarification: The analysis shows that positioning towards sanctions is the most important factor. This underscores the need for Switzerland and Swiss-based banks to establish a clear role in a multipolar, power-oriented world order. A clear definition of neutrality is also required.
In the past, Swiss banks have shown a strong ability to adapt to rising geopolitical and economic challenges. Based on our earlier assessments, no evidence suggests that this capacity for adaptation will decline in the future.
