What you can expect
You can look forward to the following focus topics.
- Cybersecurity metrics: Get to know the building blocks of modern competence-based KPIs. This part deals with the concept, subject and methods of measurement and applies them to develop KPIs that are easy to operationalize.
- The quantified cybersecurity risk register: Use the concepts presented before to compile a quantified risk register. Focus on particularly critical (“crown‑ jewel”) assets using simple monetary key figures to quantify and qualify risks, communicate them clearly and drive improvements in a targeted manner.
- Presentation of key figures that are important for the management board: learn how to develop risk-oriented board presentations that utilize the concepts introduced beforehand. You will get access to simple PowerPoint templates and outlines for designing your presentation.
Please note: the workshop will be held largely in English.
Your facilitator
Richard Seiersen is an international expert in cybersecurity risk management and Chief Risk Technology Officer at Qualys. He supports companies in making cyber risks measurable and linking them to strategic corporate goals. Previously, he worked as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for over ten years and was responsible for security strategy, operations and governance in various industries.
In addition, Richard Seiersen is the author of several books, including How To Measure Anything In Cybersecurity Risk, and teaches security metrics and risk management as a faculty member at IANS.
