Prof. Dr. Stefan Kirmße, Managing Director
Prof. Dr. Stefan Kirmße has been with zeb since 1992 and a member of the management team since July 1996.
He became Managing Director in 2015 and has since then been responsible for the operational leadership of the company and, within the group of Partners, for moderating strategy development and decision-making. He is also a professor of Business Administration, and Bank Management in particular, at Steinbeis University Berlin.
Stefan has contributed significantly to zeb’s development over the past 25 years, shaping the company into one of the leading strategy and management consultancies for the European financial services industry.
After his banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Bremen and working in the private customer business, Stefan completed a degree in Business Administration at the University of Münster.
In 1996, he gained his PhD at Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg with a thesis on the pricing and managing of default risks in corporate banking. In 2002, he obtained his postdoctoral lecturing qualification at the University of Duisburg-Essen by submitting his postdoctoral thesis on mobilizing credit business as an instrument of decisions on bank policy.
