zeb advises ABN AMRO on acquisition of Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe with a focus on asset servicing

May 29, 2024 - zeb Consulting has advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (ABN AMRO) on its acquisition of Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe Privatbank AG (Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe) with focus on the partial acquisition of the asset servicing business, subject to regulatory approval.

Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe is one of the leading private banks in Germany with more than €11.7 billion in total assets and more than 1,500 employees in 18 locations. The acquisition will increase ABN AMRO's German private banking business, operated under the brand Bethmann Bank, to around €70 billion in Assets under Management, making it the third largest in Germany.

The zeb team was led by Christian Kieft (Amsterdam) and Jens Kuttig (Amsterdam) and included Martyna Schlösinger (Frankfurt) and Simon Müller (Frankfurt).
